About Us
Our history
Witty Kiddies started with a simple idea: to provide a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for every child. We opened our doors in 2015, and by 2016, we were excited to welcome little ones into our very first preschool in Bromley. Later that year, we expanded to Sydenham, bringing our vision to even more families. As we continued to grow, we opened Witty Kiddies Downham in 2018. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but every challenge helped us learn and grow stronger. In 2020, during the global pandemic, we saw an opportunity to innovate and opened Witty Kiddies Upper Norwood—our first nursery that stays open year-round, giving families flexibility when they need it most.
After five wonderful years in Southeast London, we felt ready to spread our wings. In 2021, we opened our first nursery in Kent, and in 2023, we added another! We’re beyond excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to continue serving our families and welcoming new ones into our community
Our Staff
are qualified & committed
Our staff are fully qualified and receive continuous training courses to get them equipped with the current teaching approaches. We are committed to the best possible staff to provide parents the assurance, knowing that their child is being cared for in a safe, healthy, and loving environment.
Nurturing & Stimulating Space
Witty Kiddies Nurseries has a wide range of resources and well-enclosed garden and planting areas. Items are at the child’s level, this allows the child to easily select items/toys they wish to use. Our Nurseries has access to the garden, this allows the children the freedom to be indoors or outdoors.
Our settings provide a fun and stimulating environment for your child with a warm and friendly atmosphere. High emphasis is placed on learning through play and following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Our mission is to provide families with high-quality flexible care and education whilst adopting the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Key Person
We operate a key person system in our Nurseries, your child will be allocated a member of staff who will be responsible for them on daily basis, this will involve carrying out activities with them on a daily basis, making observations on your child, and generally looking after your child’s wellbeing.
Working with Parents/Carers
We work as closely as possible with parents/carers to make sure that we achieve the best possible care and education for your child. We use online observation and development tracking systems that parents can access and make comments whenever they wish. We also run several activities which include parents’/carers’ fun evenings. We regularly review our practice and send out questionnaires quarterly to ensure that we are providing a good service. We also welcome parents’ comments all year round about the service we provide and we look carefully at any suggestions on how we can improve our service. We have a comments and suggestions box in the entrance hall where parents are free to post comments and suggestions.
