Meet some of our senior team members below.

Shirley Potter

Shirley

Meet Shirley Potter, our Senior Manager. Shirley has worked in early years childcare and education for 22 years and holds a Leadership and Management Level 5 qualification, along with an Early Years Educator Level 3 certification. She joined Witty Kiddies Nurseries in 2017 and has since worked across four different branches, supporting children across London to reach their learning goals and confidently transition to primary school. She played a key role in opening our Upper Norwood branch, transforming it into the wonderful nursery it is today. Shirley has guided, encouraged, and motivated the team to become strong educators with great communication and teaching skills. She has also helped expand their knowledge of the EYFS framework, contributing to the implementation of individual learning plans that support each child in reaching their full potential.

Fay Marshall

Meet Fay Marshall, a dedicated manager and mother of four. She started her career as a nursery apprentice at 17 and has since earned both Level 2 and Level 3 childcare qualifications, as well as a degree in Special Needs, Early Years, and Inclusion Studies—fields she is truly passionate about. Fay joined Witty Kiddies in 2018, where she has grown into her role as a manager. Her background in special needs education has equipped her with a keen ability to identify children’s needs early, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their development. Additionally, she brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the nursery.

Gemma NuttallI

Meet Gemma Nuttall, a dedicated manager in the childcare sector. She began her journey in childcare at the young age of 17, starting in a small pop-up preschool. After becoming a mother herself, Gemma pursued further qualifications, achieving both level 2 and level 3 certifications in childcare, and gained extensive experience in the field over the years. In 2022, she joined Witty Kiddies Nursery, where she is currently. progressing towards a level 5 qualification in childcare, alongside participating in various training courses. Being part of Witty Kiddies feels like being surrounded by supportive staff and joyful children.

Natoya Hall

Meet Natoya Hall, our dedicated School Readiness Coordinator. Since joining Witty Kiddies in 2023, she has been instrumental in implementing our school readiness program. Despite the challenges, her unwavering determination and passion for early childhood development have led to remarkable success. Thanks to her efforts, we now have fully established free-flow school readiness classrooms, providing young learners with the best possible start to their educational journey.

Meet Odera Chukwuka, our dedicated Admin Manager. A mother of two with over a decade of experience in childcare, she shares our vision of providing the highest quality care and education. Since joining Witty Kiddies in 2015 as one of our first recruits, she has played a key role in multiple branch startups. Her unwavering commitment to supporting both parents and staff helps keep our company focused, cohesive, and true to its mission.
